Don’t forget that they have won the T20 World Cup twice, and their players are match winners for different franchises in the IPL. So, they are a top class T20 team, And there is no shame in losing to them.
Veteran Gavaskar talked about the players being given rest. He wrote, “This should be a wake-up call on where India needs to improve to strengthen its stand. Some of those who were rested for this series may not be in the team for very long, so their replacements also need to be found very quickly, as the next ICC T20 World Cup is just a year away. .”
Gavaskar also mentioned that this was not India’s full strength T20 team. Gavaskar wrote, “It would be good to remember that some of the main regulars of the team were rested for this series, so this was not a full strength Indian T20 team. While some performances were good, others were disappointing, which raises questions about temperament.”
